CBC Fremantle's gymnasium was packed this morning, as boys and their mums gathered to celebrate a heart-warming liturgy with the important women in their lives.
Almost 360 families shared the special event, which opened with Mr Michael Ruggiero sharing a reflection on the significant influence his Mum has had on the man he is today.
Fr Mathew led the special liturgy and urged the boys to show their mums how much they love them on Mother's Day and every day. Prayers of the Faithful readers, Oscar Holohan, Harry Sloan, Tomas Ryan, Leo Ghilard and Jayden Tomic offered intentions for the mothers and caregivers of the world, recognising mums who have not given birth and those who never held their infant in their arms.
Samuel Pittard continued the Mother's Day tradition of a Year 12 student speaking to his peers as he shared what makes his own Mum special.
Principal, Ms Jenny Knox, closed the Liturgy with a few words about her relationship with her own son and how proud she is to be his mum.
A delicious morning tea in the Cloisters prepared by the Canteen team followed, providing a chance for boys to get an early start on spoiling their mothers for their special day.
Today's celebration highlights the College's commitment to honouring the important role of women in raising tomorrow's gentlemen.
