Rice has claimed victory in CBC's Swimming Carnival, but personal bests were celebrated across all six Houses at HBF Stadium.
Patrick House produced an amazing result in 2022, wrestling the coveted shield from Rice for a shock win that they were keen to repeat. This year, the fellows in yellow started strong and kept the other Houses swimming in their wake for the rest of the day with closest rivals, Samson, coming a comfortable second, followed by Patrick, O'Connor, Kelly and Morgan.
The day provided every student with an opportunity to jump in the pool and score points for their House, regardless of their confidence level. The ever-popular water displacement challenge and bodyboard races offered alternative events for students to represent their House and add to the fun atmosphere of the day.
With Rice boys also taking out the House Cross Country shield, the question is whether they will repeat their 2021 trifecta when the Athletics Carnival comes around later in the year.

The final results reflected the College's firm place as one of the top swimming schools in the state, coming second to their traditional rivals in the pool and PSA favourites, Hale.
