Thursday evening saw a showcase of CBC Fremantle's Year 12 gentlemen as they celebrated a night to remember on the road to graduation.
A steady stream of limousines delivered more than 100 young men and their partners to the Southern Cross Gala Ballroom at Fremantle's Esplanade Hotel for their College Ball.
Gentlemen introduced their partners to Principal, Ms Jenny Knox, Head of Year 12, Mr Adryan Winnan, as well as College Captain, Jack Sullivan, and his partner, Gabrielle Gibbons.
The Ball is an important milestone on the CBC Journey, giving boys both an opportunity to celebrate the year ahead and to put their impeccable social etiquette on show.
Jack opened the Ball, speaking of the significance of the night for everyone in attendance before leading the event in prayer before the evening's delicious buffet was served.
It wasn't long before the dancefloor was the place to be, with the DJ spinning some of the year's hottest tracks, mixed in with some old favourites.
Two ballroom dancing sets gave the young adults a chance to show off the skills they had been polishing over the last few weeks.
The limousines were back just before midnight to whisk the gentlemen and their partners into the night, providing a fitting end to an evening to remember.
The College Ball is an important rite of passage for Year 12 students as they begin preparing for life after CBC as an adult. The evening celebrates the attributes of the CBC gentleman but particularly gives students an opportunity to demonstrate positive relationships with women and their peers.
